Removable Rea r Seat (Suburban)
If your vehicle is equipped with a quick release third seat, the entire
seat assembly may be removed if desired.
To remove the seat:
Release the latch handle at the outboard side of the seatback
l .
and fold the back of the seat to the horizontal lock position.

Grasp the release handle at the rear of the seat and pull
upward, this will release the hooked retainers to the anchor
pins. The entire seat can be removed at this time.
To install:
l .
Slide the entire seat assembly into the vehicle until the hooked
retainers are drawn onto the anchor pins in the floor anchor
plates.
When re-installing the seat, take care that the fliont hooks are fully
seated on the anchor pins.
Check now and then that the latch on any folding rear seat works
properly. To do this, push foward and rearward on the top of the
seatback. If the seat does not latch properly in the upright position,
have it repaired.
CAUTION:
Proper performance of the lap belts and anchorages for any
quick-removable rear seat can depend upon correct attachment of the
seat to the floor. Be sura that all installation instructions are followed
when putting the seat back in. When putting in the quick-removable
always
seat,
check to sea that the seat is firmly latched to the floor both
front and rear. To do this, push firmly forward and rearward on the top
of the saatback. Failure to properly latch the seat to the floor could
i ncrease the chance and/or severity of injury in an accident.
Folding Seat (Blazer Only)
If your vehicle is equipped with a folding second seat, the seat back and
the entire seat can be folded to provide cargo space when needed.
