PROBLEM
No temperature display.
Wrong temperature displayed.
Temperature displays do not match
at ambient temperature.
No heat, and heater indicator light is
off.
No heat, but heater indicator light is
on.
Heater on one side shuts off early or
continuously during recirculation.
B side pump is not priming.

CAUSE
Loose display cables on control
board.
Failed control board (displays get
power from control board).
Inadequate power to control board.
Loose power cable.
Motor Power switch circuit breaker
tripped.
°F/°C switch in wrong position.
Displays need calibration.
Heater Power shut off, or circuit
breaker tripped.
Bad thermostat.
Bad overtemperature sensor (this is
a high temperature limit fuse and
must be replaced if blown).
Loose heater cable connections.
Bad heater cartridge.
Inlet strainer (21) is plugged on that
side.
Running pump too fast.
Piston ball check is stuck in open
position.
Troubleshooting
SOLUTION
Check cable connections to each dis-
play, page 39.
Remove access panel. Check if
board LED is lighted. If not, replace
board, page 39.
Check that power supply meets
requirements.
Check cable connections, page 39.
Display is powered from Motor Power
circuit breaker. Cycle Motor Power off
, then on
breaker.
Set switch, see page 37.
Turn calibration screw on back of dis-
plays to correct reading, see page
37.
Cycle Heater Power off
on
to reset circuit breaker.
With power on, check for continuity at
clicks of heater control knob. To
replace thermostat, see 311210.
With power on, check for continuity at
overtemperature sensor. To replace
sensor, see 311210.
Check connections at Heater Power
switch. See F
. 12, page 40.

Check for continuity at heater car-
tridge connections: 16-18.6 ohms for
120 V.
Clean or replace strainer, page 22.
Put finger over recirculation tube
while running, to build pressure, and
release. Repeat as necessary.
