Memory Subsystem

The Intel
Server Board SE7500CW2 supports up to four DIMM slots for a maximum memory
1
capacity of 4GB
. The DIMM organization is x72 which includes eight ECC check bits. The
memory interface runs at 200MT/s. The memory controller supports memory scrubbing, single-
bit error correction and multiple-bit error detection and chip kill support with DIMMS built on x4
technology. Memory can be implemented with either single sided (one row) or double-sided (two
row) DIMMs.
The figure below provides a block diagram of the memory sub-system implemented on the Intel
Server Board SE7500CW2.

As of the writing of this document, testing with 2GB DIMM modules was not complete and therefore not yet
supported. 2GB DIMM support would allow for up to 8GB of main memory on the SE7500CW2. For updates on
support of 2GB DIMM modules, visit the SE7500CW2 support website at
http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/se7500cw2.
