Using Serial DSS

The LIP-8012DSS, LIP-8012LSS, and LIP-8048DSS can be connected
with LIP-8040LD through RS-232 cable. Be careful that there's limitation
of serial DSS capacity and serial LSS capacity according to iPECS
system. Refer to iPECS Manual if needed.
Linked Pair Slave station cannot use serial DSS.
OPERATION
To use Serial DSS:

Check the station has Serial DSS Usage authority from Admin PGM
111 – F21.

Check the serial DSS power is off (only for LIP-8048DSS).

Power off the LIP-8040LD.

Connect serial DSS to keyset.

Power on the serial DSS(only for LIP-8048DSS).

Power on the keyset.

Program DSS button on station program by pressing [PGM] + Flex
button. Or, program DSS button from web 'Flexible button PGM'
menu or from Admin PGM 115.

If needed, edit LSS Label from Admin PGM 129. Otherwise, Default
Label is provided from MFIM
To init Serial DSS DB:

Enter Admin PGM 111 – F21.

Select station range to clear Serial DSS DB.

Dial '0'.

Press the button.
