Chapter 3: Communication Manager installation
Once the drive is properly configured, the program starts the installation process and
reports the progress.
These processes can take up to 20 minutes to complete.
5. When the media server is ready to reboot, the drawer of the CD-ROM drive opens. You
must remove the CD-ROM from the drive at this time.
The reboot can take up to 3 minutes. The Telnet session drops automatically when the
reboot starts.
6. Perform one of the following actions:
a. If you are installing the S8500 Media Server as a call controller, continue with the next
section of this document.
b. If you are installing an S8500 Media Server to run the Expanded Meet-me
Conferencing (EMMC) application, you are finished with this document. Continue the
EMMC installation procedures described in Installing and Troubleshooting the
Expanded Meet-me Conferencing (EMMC) (04-300527).
