Loading Envelopes Into the Bypass Trays

Load the paper into the Manual Bypass one sheet at a time.
Up to 10 sheets of paper can be loaded into the Multiple Bypass.
When loading envelopes, load them with the flap facing up, as shown
in the illustration.
Note
Before loading envelopes, press them down to make sure that all air
is removed, and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly
pressed, otherwise the envelopes may become wrinkled or a paper
misfeed may occur.
After you have loaded the envelopes, use the control panel to specify
the paper size and paper type for the Bypass Tray.
