Specifying the Image Type ("Photo/Density" Settings)

"Text & Photo" setting
Select this setting when copying documents containing both text and images.
"Photo Image" setting
Select this setting when copying documents (photographs) printed on photographic paper.
A smooth copy is produced.
The "Auto" setting for the background density setting is canceled. To specify a background
density setting, select it manually.
"Printed Image" setting
Select this setting when copying printed documents, such as pamphlets or catalogs.
The "Auto" setting for the background density setting is canceled. To specify a background
density setting, select it manually.
"Text" setting
Select this setting when copying documents containing only text.
The edges of copied text are reproduced with sharpness, providing an image that is easy to
read.
"Map" setting
Select this setting when copying documents with a background color or documents containing
pencil markings or fine colored lines.
A sharp copy image is produced.
"Copied Image" setting
Select this setting when copying images (documents) printed with this copier.
