Printing from the Macintosh

PRINTING FROM FinePixViewer

Setting the printer

Before printing, set the printer.

Load the printing paper into the printer.

Set the [USB MODE] switch to [PRINTER] and connect the Macintosh (P. 84).

Click the Macintosh "Apple" menu and click
"Chooser".
The "Chooser" window opens.

Click the "CX-400" icon.
When the printer is connected, the "Chooser" window
changes as shown at the right.
Finally, close the "Chooser" window.
This completes printer setting.
Note
• If the "CX-400" icon does not appear at the right-hand side of
the "Chooser" screen even when the "CX-400" icon is
clicked, the Macintosh and printer are not connected. Close
the "Chooser" window and check if the USB cable is
connected correctly. After checking the USB cable, open the
"Chooser" window again.
Printing from the Macintosh

Launch FinePixViewer.
Note
• When FinePixViewer is launched for the first time, the Finepix Internet Service introduction window is displayed.

Double-click the thumbnail of the picture you
want to print.
Click the "File" menu and click "Page Setup".
The "Page Setup" window appears.
Note
• After loading the paper into the printer, click the "File" menu
and click "Page Setup".

Set the printing information (Paper Size, Layout, Multiple Print, Border, Quantity).
q Paper Size: Select the size of the paper.
Note
• Photo type: 3" × 4" size (74 mm × 100 mm/2.9 in. × 3.9 in.), CD Jacket size (100 mm × 120 mm/3.9 in. × 4.7 in.),
digital camera size 3:4 (100 mm × 133 mm/3.9 in. × 5.2 in.), 4" × 6" size (100 mm × 148 mm/3.9 in. × 5.8 in.),
4" × 7" size (100 mm × 178 mm/3.9 in. × 7.0 in.)
✽ Digital camera size 3:4 is printed at an aspect ratio of 3:4.
w Layout: Select the printing direction (portrait, landscape).
e Border: Select if a white border is to be printed on the printed photograph.
r Multiple Print:
Print multiple copies of the same picture on one sheet of paper. When multiple print is performed,
the number of frames is selected.
Note
• "Multiple Print" cannot be selected for without border. Select with border and then select "Multiple Print".
• The number of frames that can be selected varies depending on the selected paper size.
3" × 4" size: 2UP, 4UP
4" × 6" size: 2UP, 4UP, 9UP, 16UP, 25UP
CD jacket size, digital camera size 3:4: Multiple print cannot be performed.
t Manual adjustment:
Click to manually adjust the picture quality.
Each manual adjustment item can be set even when automatic print quality adjustment is set to
"Enable".
At the end of setting, press the [OK] button.
