10 Installation on a Mac OS
DISCONNECTING THE CARD READER
To disconnect the printer from the Macintosh, follow the procedure below.
1
Quit all applications (FinePixViewer, etc.) that are using the printer.

Check that the printer and Macintosh are not communicating.
3
Drag the removable disk icon to "Trash".
4
Turn the printer power off.

Unplug the USB cable from the printer.
Note
• Always close all the files in the printer (removable disk drive) and confirm that the memory card is not being
accessed ([BUSY] lamp is off).
• If the printer or USB cable is disconnected without dragging the removable disk icon to "Trash", the Macintosh may
malfunction.
• Do not disconnect the printer or USB cable immediately after the Macintosh "Copying" message disappears from
the screen. When a large amount of data was copied, the printer may be accessed for a short after the Macintosh
display disappears.

Acrobat Reader INSTALLATION
Adobe Systems' Acrobat Reader software must be installed to read the FinePixViewer User's Guide
(PDF). If you already have the latest version installed, this step is not required.

Double-click the "Installer" icon to launch the installer.

An installer setup window appears.
Click the [Installation of Acrobat Reader] button.

Install Acrobat Reader as directed by the on-screen instructions.
This completes installation of all the software
components.
