PRE-INSTALLATION CHECKLIST

Hardware and software requirements (Macintosh)

To run this software, you must have the hardware and software described below. Check your system
before you begin the installation.

1 Models with a USB port as a standard feature.
2 Turn virtual memory on if necessary.
3 Required to use FinePix Internet Service. The software can still be installed even if you do not
have an Internet connection.
Use the drivers (Mass Storage Driver, printer driver) on the CD-ROM supplied with this
product. When an old driver has already been installed, uninstall it and then install the
driver on the CD-ROM supplied with this product.
Note
• Connect the printer directly to the Macintosh using a USB cable. The software may not operate correctly if an
extension cable or USB hub is used.
• Push the USB connector fully into the socket to ensure that it is securely connected. The software may not operate
correctly if the connection is faulty.
• When an additional USB interface board is used, operation is not guaranteed.
• Only one CX-400 can be connected to one PC.
• Two or more FUJIFILM printers cannot be connected simultaneously.
Disconnect the USB cable of the printer you do not want to use. (FUJIFILM printers: NX-700/NX-500/NX-800M)

CHECKING THE OS SETTINGS

Enable File Exchange

Check whether File Exchange is active.
To use a memory card supported by the printer, "File Exchange" utility supplied with the Mac OS
must be running.

Turn the Macintosh power on and startup the Mac OS.

• Do not connect the printer until software installation is completed.
