Installation on a Windows PC

Turn the printer power off.

Unplug the USB cable from the printer.
Note
• Always close all the files in the printer (removable disk drive) and confirm that the memory card is not being
accessed ([BUSY] lamp is off).
• In Windows XP and Windows Me, the PC may malfunction if you disconnect the USB cable without first using the
"Remove hardware" procedure.
• When the "Copying" message disappears from the PC screen, wait a few moments before disconnecting the
printer and USB cable or removing memory card. If a large amount of data is being copied, printer access
continues for a short time after the message displayed on the PC has gone off.
Acrobat Reader INSTALLATION
The Adobe Systems ' Acrobat Reader software must be installed to read the FinePixViewer User's Guide (PDF).
If the latest version is already installed, this step is not required.

Open "My Computer" and right-click the "Printpix" CD-ROM icon and select "Open".

Double-click "SETUP" or "SETUP.exe" in the CD-ROM.

In the installer window, click the [Installation of Acrobat Reader] button.

Proceed with the installation as directed by the on-screen instructions.
This completes installation of all the software
components.

Printing from Windows
PRINTING FROM FinePixViewer

Load the printing paper into the printer.

Set the [USB MODE] switch to the [PRINTER] position and connect the printer to the PC
(P. 61).

Start up FinePixViewer.
Note
• When FinePixViewer is started for the first time, the FinePix Internet Service window appears.

Double-click the thumbnail of the picture you
want to print.
Click the "File" menu and then click "Print".
The "Print" dialog box appears.

Check that "Name" is "FUJIFILM CX-400" and then click the [Properties] button.
The "FUJIFILM CX-400 Properties" dialog box appears.
q Name: Check the printer name.
w Set printing information.
e Number of copies: Set the number of prints.
r Center Image: Check when you want to print the picture at the center of the printing paper.
t Date imprinting: Check when you want to print the date.
y Adjust to paper size: Check when you want to magnify the print to match the photo paper.
Note
• For applications other than FinePixViewer, the contents that are displayed are different.
• After loading the printing paper into the printer, click the [Properties] button.
