Slot Cover Requirements

Note 1:
It is imperative to cover all unoccupied slots in the front cage of the Avaya
G860 Media Gateway chassis and all unoccupied slots in the rear cage of
the Avaya G860 Media Gateway chassis with blank panels to maintain a
high, internal airflow.
Note 2:
The front blank panels are baffled panels. Be sure to use this type of blank
panel in the front of the chassis and use the blank panel without the baffle
in the rear of the chassis only.

See the current release notes for more information before changing any
configuration.

Slot Cover Requirements
Board types are assigned to specific slots. The midplane behind the slots
contains keys that are specific to the board types appropriate for the
individual slots. Forcing a board into a slot for which the board is not keyed
will damage the board and/or midplane. If a board does not slide in the full
way with ease, check if it is indeed appropriate for the slot in which you are
inserting.
