(3) Modifying and Deleting Confidential Boxes

* You CANNOT modify a registered Confidential Box ID. If you want
to change a Confidential Box ID, delete the corresponding
Confidential Box and then register it again with the desired ID.
* If you want to cancel the procedure part way through, press the
Reset key. The operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.
1. Perform steps 1 - 3 of "(2) Registering Confidential Boxes",
page 4-12.

2. Use the cursor up or the cursor down key to select the
Confidential Box you want to modify or delete.
Then press the Enter key.

3. Use the keypad to enter the corresponding 4-digit Confidential Box ID.

4. Press the Enter key.
* If you entered an incorrect Confidential Box ID, an error
message will appear in the message display.
Press the Enter key.
5. Perform the following modification or deletion procedure.
> Modifying registered information
Use the cursor up or the cursor down key to select the information
you want to modify. Then press the Enter key.
* Follow the steps related to the desired information in
"(2) Registering Confidential Boxes", page 4-12, and change the
information as desired.

> Deleting the Confidential Box
1 Press the Stop/Clear key.
* If you want to cancel the deletion procedure, simply press the
Stop/Clear key again.
* You CANNOT delete a Confidential Box which still contains
received documents.

2 Press the Enter key.
The selected Confidential Box will be deleted.
* If you want to continue deleting Confidential Boxes,
return to step 2.
6. If you are finished modifying and/or deleting Confidential Boxes,
press the Reset key. The operation panel will return to the initial
mode settings.

(4) Transmission to a Destination
Confidential Box
It is necessary to for the transmitting party to perform the following
procedure in order to transmit documents to a Confidential Box that
is registered in the destination party's fax machine.
<Preparation>
The transmitting party must...
know, in advance, the receiving party's Confidential Box number
(4 digits) and enter it during the transmission procedure.
The receiving party must...
register, in advance, the corresponding Confidential Box in their
fax, inform the transmitting party of the registered box number
and ID for that Confidential Box, and enter them both during the
procedure to print out the received documents.
(Refer to "(6) Printing Out Documents from a Confidential Box",
page 4-16.)
* If you want to cancel the procedure part way through, press the
Reset key. The operation panel will return to the initial mode settings.

1. Set the documents you want to transmit.
* When the documents are set on the platen, it is necessary,
after each page is scanned, to select whether or not you want to
transmit more pages and to select the size of each page.
(Refer to page 1-23.)
Enter destination
2. Raise both cover plates and press the CONFIDENTIAL key.
The "Confidential comm." menu will appear in the message
display.
