Routing

By touching [Route] in a box selected with the Retrieve from HDD operation,
a saved document can be sent through the network. In this way, data can
easily be routed simply by registering with this machine a server or e-mail
address instead of by sending the data through different computers.
!
Detail
Documents scanned and saved (Scan to HDD) with an older version of
the firmware cannot be routed.

Routing methods

Document data saved in boxes can be routed using the following operations.
Operation
E-mail transmis-
sion
Scan to PC
FTP transmission
SMB transmission
Note
Instead of registering a routing destination as a one-touch recipient, it
can be registered with a program.
For details on programming a one-touch dial button with settings for an
e-mail transmission or a transmission to an FTP server or SMB server,
refer to the User manual [Network Scanner Operations].
For details on programming a one-touch dial button for a Scan to PC
operation, refer to the User manual [Advanced Scan Operations].
The Scan to PC operation can be used if the optional scanner unit or fax
kit is installed.
