What's on the STAND POSITIONS menu ...
VIDEO ... Select the position you want the
television to turn to when you switch on a video
source.
AUDIO ... Select the position you want the
television to turn to when you switch on an
audio source*.
STANDBY ... Select the position you want the
television to turn to when it is switched off.
*This only applies if no external speakers are
connected to the television.
This menu is only available if your television is
equipped with an optional motorised stand.
NOTE! If your television is equipped with the HD-
ready feature, a third option for the menu item
'HDTV' is available. This option is 'DVI-I'.

What's on the AV1 menu ...
SOURCE ... Select the source you have connected
to the AV1 socket. Options are:
NONE ... if nothing is connected.
V.MEM ... for a connected HDR 1 or video tape
recorder.
DVD2 ... for a connected DVD player or
recorder.
STB(DTV) ... for a connected set-top box
(registered as DTV).
STB(V.AUX) ... for a connected set-top box
(registered as V.AUX).
PC ... for a connected PC.
APPEND SOURCE ... if you have connected a
BeoCord V 8000 or HDR 1, and you have
connected additional video equipment to it, it
must be registered here. Options are:
STB(DTV)... for a set-top box (registered as DTV).
STB(V.AUX)... for a set-top box (registered as
V.AUX).
DVD2... for DVD player or recorder.
DECODER... for a connected decoder.
NONE... if nothing is connected.
AUDIO SOCKET ... Select which audio socket you
have used for the source. Options are: A1, A2,
A3, A4 or NONE.

IR SOCKET ... Select which IR OUT socket you
have used for the source. Options are: C1, C2,
C3, C4 or NONE.
HDTV ... If the source connected to this AV socket
delivers HDTV, select which socket is used for
HDTV; Options are: YPbPr or NO.
If you have connected HD equipment to your
television, some video functions are affected:
– The Set-top Box Controller menu described
on page 8 does not appear;
– If you have selected FORMAT 2 for letter-box
pictures as described on page 11 in the
Guide, you cannot scroll the picture up or
down;
– You cannot distribute sound or picture from
a HD source to a product in a link room;
– You cannot record an HD source, unless your
HD equipment also provides a Standard
Definition (SD) signal;
– You cannot select the HD source when using
the P-AND-P function described on page 9 in
the Guide.
