Set speaker distance
Switch on the television from your favourite
viewing position. Enter the straight-line
distances in metres between your position
and the individual speakers.
If you have connected one or a pair of
external centre speakers, and positioned
them in front of the screen for your Home
cinema setup (as illustrated to the far right,
the (A) position), you must enter the
distances from your Home cinema viewing
position too.
You do not have to enter a distance for a BeoLab 2
subwoofer, as the placement of a subwoofer has
little impact on the sound.

> Press MENU to bring up the TV SETUP menu
and press
to highlight OPTIONS.
> Press GO to bring up the OPTIONS menu and
press
to highlight SOUND.
> Press GO to bring up the SOUND SETUP menu
and press
to highlight SPEAKER DISTANCE.
> Press GO to bring up the SPEAKER DISTANCE
menu.
> Press

to move the cursor from speaker
to speaker and press
or
to select the
approximate straight-line distance in metres
between your viewing position and each of the
speakers.
> When you have entered the appropriate speaker
distances, press GO to store or press EXIT to
leave the menu without storing.
To make settings for Home cinema ...
> Press LIST until FORMAT is shown in the Beo4
display, then press 0 to activate your Home
cinema setup.
> Repeat the procedure above and enter the
appropriate speaker distances from your Home
cinema viewing position.

If your setup includes two different viewing
positions, a Home cinema setup and a regular TV
viewing setup, you must make two different
settings. The two positions require different
settings as the speaker setup vary.
