The Preset Colour Balance option automatically
adjusts Image Quality settings to produce output
with balanced image tones.
The adjustment of lightness or darkness will
2
sometimes improve the output quality.
This feature allows you to shift all of the copy
colours toward the adjacent hue, as well as adjust
the overall richness of colour on the output copy.
3
The Sharpness feature allows you to adjust the
amount of edge definition on the output.
4
The Variable Colour Balance feature enables you
to set the balance of Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and
Black by the varying degrees of density for each
colour.
When you make changes to the Image Quality
features, remember that outside factors, such as
the quality of the original document, also affect
5
output quality.
NOTE: Selections made in the Image Quality tab
are applied to the entire output copy.
KEY POINT: When you select an option other
than the default for a feature and then save your
6
selection and return to the tab, a check mark
displays near the feature name and the selected
value or option displays under the feature name.
