▼ Remove the Fan Power Board

If you are removing the fan power boards to access the paddle card or hard drive
cage, you must remove the server from the rack. See
Rack" on page

1. Power off the server.

2. Disconnect the power cables.
3. Extend the server into the maintenance position.

Note – If you are removing the fan power boards to service the paddle card or hard
drive cage, you must remove the server from the rack. See the topic

4. Attach an antistatic wrist strap.
5. Remove the top cover.

Note – If you are replacing a defective fan power board, remove only the fan
modules needed to access the fan power board.
