Prevents a call on hold from being kept waiting longer than a
pre-determined time. If the timer expires, ringing or an alarm tone
is generated as a reminder to the user who held the call. If the user
is on-hook and their SP-PHONE/MONITOR button is off, the
phone will ring. If the user is off-hook or in the hands-free mode
when the timer expires, an alarm tone will be sent to the built-in
speaker of a proprietary telephone (PT) or the handset receiver of a
single line telephone at 15-second intervals.
• Hold Recall and Hold Alarm can be disabled by programming.
• During hold recall, a display PT indicates the held party.
• An Alarm tone is sent as follows.
• While the Alarm tone is being sent, a display PT flashes the indication
of the held party for five seconds at 15-second intervals in synch with
the tone.
• This feature will not work if the extension has set Data Line Security.
