■ Subaudible tones

D Subaudible tones
q Select the channel that you want to set the subaudible
tone to, such as the VFO, memory or Call channel.
• The subaudible tone frequency or code is indepen-
dently programmed into each mode or channel.
w Push [SET] to enter the Set mode.
e Push [SET] or [MONI] several times until the " " icon
and "Ct" (for the CTCSS), the " " icon and "dt" (for
the DTCS) or the " " icon and "rt" (for the repeater
tone) appear.
r Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired subaudible fre-
quency or code.
t Push any key other than [SET] or [MONI], to save
the entry and exit the Set mode.
NOTE: The subaudible tone encoder frequency can be
temporarily set in a memory or Call channel. However,
when another memory channel or VFO mode is select-
ed, the set frequency is cleared. To store the tone fre-
quency permanently, overwrite the channel information.
Using the HM-133V
z Select the mode or channel that you want to set the
subaudible tones to, such as the VFO, memory or
Call channel.
• The subaudible tone frequency or code is indepen-
dently programmed into each mode and channel.
x Push [SET]
to enter the Set mode.
c Push [SET]

icon and "Ct" (for the CTCSS), the " " icon and "dt"
(for the DTCS) or the " " icon and "rt" (for the re-
peater tone) appear.
v Push [Y] or [Z] to select and set the desired subau-
dible tone frequency or code.
• Push and hold [Y] or [Z] to sequentially change
the tones or codes.
b Push [CLR]
to save the entry and exit the Set
mode.
D
DTCS encoder (Only TX)
The DTCS encoder superimposes the selected DTCS
code over your transmitted signal.
q Push [TONE] several times, until both "
pear.
• The DTCS encoder activated.
w Push [SET] to enter the Set mode.
e Set the DTCS code and polarity, in the same way you
set the DTCS squelch. (p. 41)
• You can set the DTCS transmit and receive polarity, but
the DTCS encoder affects only transmit.
r Push any key other than [SET] or [MONI], to save
the entry and exit the Set mode.
NOTE: The DTCS encoder cannot be activated by us-
