■ Channel selection

D Channel 16

Channel 16 s the dstress and safety channel. It s used for
establshng ntal contact wth a staton and for emergency
communcatons. Channel 16 s montored durng both Du-
alwatch and Tr-watch. Whle standng by, you must montor
Channel 16.
➥ Push [16•9] momentarly to select Channel 16.
➥ Push [CH/WX] to return to the condton before selectng
Channel 16, or rotate [SELECTOR] to select a channel.
• Pushng the keypad or [Y]/[Z] on the mcrophone also selects
a channel.

When the Favorte channel functon s turned ON (p. 45),
[Y]/[Z] keys on the mcrophone select the favorte channels
n the selected channel group n sequence when pushed.
• The favorte channels are set by the TAG channel settng. (p. 15)

BASIC OPERATION

D Channel 9 (Call channel)
Each regular channel group has a separate lesure-use call
channel. The call channel s montored durng Tr-watch. The
call channels can be programmed and are used to store
your most often used channel n each channel group for
quck recall. (p. 10)
➥ Push and hold [16•9] for 1 sec. to select the call channel
of the selected channel group.
• "CALL" and call channel number appear.
• Each channel group may have an ndependent call channel
after programmng a call channel. (p. 10)
➥ Push [CH/WX] to return to the condton before selectng
call channel, or rotate [SELECTOR] to select a channel.
• Pushng the keypad or [Y]/[Z] on the mcrophone also selects
a channel.
