■ Automatic foghorn

The automatc foghorn functon sounds a horn repeatedly
untl the functon s turned OFF. Four patterns are avalable
for varyng condtons.
TYPE
One 5-second blasts every 120
UNDERWAY
seconds.
Two 5-second blasts (separated
STOP
by 2 seconds) every 120 sec-
onds.
One 5-second blast followed
by two 1-second blasts (each
SAIL
separated by 2 seconds) every
120 seconds.
One 5-second blast followed
by three 1-second blasts (each
TOW
separated by 2-seconds) every
120 seconds.
The audo frequency of the foghorn s selectable. See
page 44 for detals on selectng the audo frequency.
The foghorn outputs from the haler speaker. To use ths
functon, the haler speaker must be connected to the trans-
cever. See page 46 for connecton detals.

USAGE
Motor vessel underway and makng way.
Motor vessel underway but stopped (not
makng way).
Salng vessel underway, fshng vessel
(underway or anchored), vessel not under
command, a vessel restrcted n her ablty
to maneuver (underway or at anchor), or a
vessel towng or pushng another ahead.
Vessel under tow (manned).
