■ Mounting the transceiver

D Using the supplied mounting bracket

The unversal mountng bracket suppled wth your trans-
cever allows overhead or onboard mountng.
• Mount the transcever securely wth the 4 suppled screws
(5 × 20 mm) to a surface whch s more than 10 mm (
thck and can support more than 5 kg (11 lb).
• Mount the transcever so that the face of the transcever s
at 90° to your lne of sght when operatng t.
KEEP the transcever and mcrophone at least 1 m (3.3 ft)
away from the vessel's magnetc navgaton compass.
NOTE:
• Check the nstallaton angle; the functon dsplay may
not be easy-to-read at some angles.
• When mountng the transcever on the place that s
prone to strong vbraton, use the suppled sponges be-
tween the transcever and mountng bracket for reduc-
ng the effect of the vbraton.
