CONNECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE
■ UT-112/UT-98* installation
CAUTION: DISCONNECT the DC power cable from the
transcever before performng any work on the trans-
cever. Otherwse, there s danger of electrc shock and/or
equpment damage.
Follow the case openng procedure shown here when you
want to nstall an optonal unt (UT-112 or UT-98*).
q Remove the 12 screws and open the transcever.
Torque (0.7 N.m)
* The UT-98 s the dscontnued model, and the current
model s the UT-112.

w Turn the transcever upsde down, then dsconnect the flat
cables and Rear mc control (6-pn) from LOGIC board,
and Front mc control (2-pn) and Volume control (3-pn)
from AF board.
