OTHER FUNCTIONS
t After releasng [PTT] you can hear the response through
the speaker.
y To return to normal operaton, push [CLR] or repeat step

• Whle n the ntercom mode, the transcever functons
(transmt and receve) are nterrupted. If the transcever
s n transmt condton, the ntercom functon s not
avalable.
• When a DSC call s receved, the ntercom functon s
nterrupted wth an automatc return to the transcever
mode. The transcever's dsplay ndcates 'Recevng
DSC calls.' (p. 32)
• When a WX alert s receved, "WX ALERT" blnks and
a beep sounds. The WX alert sounds after the Intercom
use s finshed.

■ Hailer operation

The IC-M604 has a 2-way haler functon for voce amplfica-
ton and recepton over a loudspeaker, makng t unneces-
sary to leave the brdge to hear a halng party. Durng haler
operaton, transmttng s mpossble and the receved sgnal
s muted.
Connect an external haler speaker as descrbed on page 46.
