I Getting Started
This section explains how to connect audio/video components and speakers to the receiver, and how to connect the
power supply
Do not connect the AC power cord until all other connections have been made.

AM antenna connections
Check to be sure you have all of the followiug items, which are
supplied for the receiver.
The uunlber ill parentheses iudicates the quautity of pieces supplied.

IR Signal Transmitter (1)
Double-sided Adhesive Tape (1)
If auything is missing, contact your dealer immediately.

Exteud the supplied FM autenna
horizoutally.

Connect the supplied FM antenna as temporary measure to the
FM 75 f) COAXIAL terminal--@
If reception is pool; connect the outdoor FM antenna (not
supplied)--@
1. Disconnect the supplied FM antenna.
2. Connect a 75 [_ coaxial cable (with the standard type connector).
Assemhle the supplied AM loop antenna as follows:
Snap the tabs on the loop into the slots of the base to
assemble the AM loop antenna.

Notes:
• If the AM loop antenna wire is covered with vinyl, _.,_,_
remove the vinyl by twisting it as illustrated. £_.
• Make sure the antenna conductors do not touch any

other terminals, connecting cords and power cord. This
could cause poor reception.
• Ifreceptionispoor, connectanoutdoorsingle vinyl-coveredwire
(not supplied) to the AM EXT terminal. (Keep the AM loop antenna
connected.)
