The CD player, CD recorder,
and Cassette
deck (or MD recorder)
turn oil and off along wifll file receiver.
Automatic
Power
On:
• When
you turn
on the receiver

ON on the remote
control

ZONE
l/ZONE

set to ZONE

• When you turn off the receiver
by pressing
_/I STANDBY/ON
on the unit or AUDIO
POWER
STANDBY
on the remote
control,

will turn off (standby).
• When
you turn off the Zone I sound

ZONE
1 ON/OFF,
the selected
Zone
1 source
component
turns
off (unless the same component
is selected
as the Zone 2 source).
If the ZONE 2 indicator
is lit, the Zone
1 source
will stop
playing,
but will not turn off.
• When
you turn
off the Zone 2 sound
by pressing
ZONE
2 ON/OFF,
the selected
Zone
2 source
component
turns
off (unless file same component
is selected
as the Zone
1 source).
- If the ZONE
1 indicator
is lit, the Zone 2 source
will stop
playing,
but will not turn off.
Synchronized
Recordino

This operation is only possible when the receiver is ready for
Zone 1 operations.
Synchronized
recording
means the cassette
deck (or MD recorder)
starts recording
as soon as a CD begins
playing.
To use synchronized
recording,
follow
these steps:
1. Put a tape in the cassette
deck (or an MD in the
MD recorder),
and a disc in the CD player.
2. Press the record
(O) button
and the pause (ll)
button
on the cassette
deck (or on the MD
recorder)
at the same time.
This puts tile cassette
deck (or MD recorder)
into recording
pause.
If you do not press the record
(O) button and pause (11) button
at
the same time, tile synchronized
recording
feature
will not
operate.
3. Press the play (_) button
on the CD player.
The Zone
I source
changes
on the receiver,
and as soon as play
starts, file cassette
deck (or MD recorder)
starts recording.
'_Vhen
play ends, the cassette
deck (or MD recorder)
enters recording
pause, and stops about
4 seconds
later.
Notes:
• During synchronized
recording,"
- The selectedZone
! source cannotbe
changed. (You can
change the Zone 2 source.)
- If the same source is selected both for Zone ! and Zone 2,
operating the Zone 2 source will affect the recording.
• The COMPU LINK remote control system may not operate properly
during synchronized
recording;
- If the power of any playing or recording component
is shut off.
- If the Zone ! sound is turned off by pressing ZONE ! ON/OFF
In this case, you must start recording again from the beginning.
• You cannot use the CD recorder for synchronized
recording.
