Adjusting Density

Use this procedure to adjust the density when copying.
Auto Density mode
Manual Density mode
NOTE:
You can switch to the auto density mode if the overall copies come out too dark or too light. Refer to
Auto Density Adjustment on page 6-7.
If you select Photo as the image quality mode, you cannot select the Auto Density mode.
The procedure for adjusting the density of copies is explained below.
OPERATION GUIDE
Mode
The machine detects the density of the original
and sets the optimum density.
Adjust the density by pressing the Lighter or
Darker key.
Description
1
Press the Copy key.

Place the originals on the platen.
3
Adjust density manually pressing Lighter to
Darker key.
To change density adjustment from Manual to Auto,
press the Auto Density key.

Press the Start key to start copying.
