Boot Device (Startup Menu)

Specify which device your computer should look on for an operating system
by priority. The most common setting is to look for the diskette "A:" first, then
the CD-ROM Drive (CD device), and lastly the Hard Disk "C:". In most cas-
es your computer "boots" (starts-up from) the hard disk. There are cases where
you may want to "Boot" from a floppy disk in drive "A:" (use a USB floppy
drive), or the CD device. You may also set the computer to boot from the net-
5
work.

Display (Startup Menu)

Enables your choice of CRT (external VGA monitor), LCD (the computer's
display screen), or both. These settings are best changed in your OS (see
"
Display Devices" on page 3 -
9), and may also be quickly adjusted by means
of the Fn and F6 keys (see
" Function Keys and Numeric Keypad" on page 2
-
17). However if you want to use multiple display devices in OS's other than
Windows, you may set the options here.

Enable Battery Low Beep (Startup Menu)

Enable or disable the low battery beep if the power is getting low.

Enable Power On Beep (Startup Menu)

Enable or disable the beep when the computer "boots up".
