1. Slide the battery-lock latch up
and hold it in place.

2. With your other hand, pry the
battery up along its right edge
– there's an indentation in the

case to make this easier.
3. When the connectors on the
battery's right edge are clear, lift
the battery up.

First, use one of these methods to protect your work
• Use Save to disk mode.
• Save your work then shut down the system.

1. Remove the used battery (if
present). Follow the instruc-
tions in the side-bar.
2. Remove the battery from its
packaging.
3. Slide the fresh battery into
the slot, left edge first. If
there is any resistance as
you slide it in, check for and
remove any foreign objects
that may have gotten into
the bay.
4. Make sure the battery latch
'clicks' into locked position.
