CHAPTER 4 SERVICE MODE
FIXING
Executes automatic adjustment of fixing assembly-related items.
Level 3
NIP-CHK Use it to generate an output for measuring the fixing
nip width.
This mode uses the source of paper selected before
service mode is started.
Using the Item
1) Make about 20 copies of the Test Sheet in A4.
2) Select the item (to highlight), and press the OK
key.
3) A cyan image will automatically be prepared and
discharged.
4) Measure the width of the area indicated in the
figure.
PUMP-ON Use it to impregnate the felt with oil by running the
fixing oil pump for about 10 min when replacing the
oil applying felt.
Using the Item
1) Select the item (to highlight), and press the OK
key.
