User menu
Call up / quit User Settings menu
After opening the User Settings menu, the follow-
ing Basic Settings can be set in three menu levels
according to your personal preference.
First level:
- Speed dependent volume control (GAL)
Gal
- Setting for display colour
Col
- Display setting
Lcd
Led
- LED setting
Lum
- Setting for display brightness
- Setting for reception optimisation
M/S
Second level:
- Setting for the AUX input
Aux
- Setting for signal tone volume
BeV
- Setting for turning direction of rotary

- Setting for volume display

- Hands-free microphone setting
Third level:
HsV
- Volume setting for optional handset
- Limits the maximum audio volume level

- Adjusts the digital audio source (CD etc.)

To call up the User Settings menu, press the
button for more than 2 seconds.

Setting the GAL (Gal)

The GAL is a control circuit within the car radio
which adapts the radio volume to the vehicle
speed. This functions as a compensation for
driving noises resulting from higher speeds.
Call up the General Settings menu. Press multi-

With the GAL setting, the amount of volume con-
trol can be specified according to vehicle speed.
The setting is stored automatically.

- no volume increase
- slight volume increase (low noise levels in
