Flywheel test
•
Disconnect the alternator wiring connector.
•
Start the engine and rev it up to 5000 rpm.
•
Use the hand-held tester to measure voltage (VAC)
across the three yellow wires. A reading lower than 53
V indicates a faulty alternator.
Standard voltage under no-load conditions: over 53 V (A.C.)
at 6000 rpm.
