TeemTalk Virtual Key Name Functions

Sending Text to a
File or Device
TeemTalk provides additional virtual key name functions for special
tasks such as sending text to a file or device, and reading text from a
file or device to place in the keyboard buffer as if typed.
The following command enables you to send text to a file or device
(e.g. COM1):
<VK_FILE_O><name>data string<VK_FEND>
where name is either the name of the file or the name of the device
to be written to.
The data string can include control codes in _xxx format, for
example _013 for carriage return.
If a filename is specified that already exists, it will be replaced. For
example,
<VK_FILE_O><c:\file.txt>text to enter to
file_013_010next line of file<VK_FEND>
will create a file called file.txt containing the following two lines of
text:
text to enter to file
next line of file
If a COM device is specified, the port settings (baud rate, parity,
etc.) will be made as the AUX port. Additionally the name can
include serial device settings, which must have the same format as
the relevant command line options. For example, the following spec-
ifies a baud rate of 1200, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit:
<VK_FILE_O><COM1: baud=1200 parity=N data=8 stop=1>
The following command specifies a baud rate of 9600, odd parity, 7
data bits and 1 stop bit:
<VK_FILE_O><com1:96,o,7,1>
