Check and Clear the Multipurpose Feeder

1. Begin by checking the paper entrance at the
multipurpose feeder if it was in use when the jam
occurred.
2. Carefully remove any visible paper (A).
3. Then close the multipurpose feeder (B).
note:
After you have located and cleared the jam,
you must open and close the front cover to reset the
printer. If you removed the envelope feeder, you must
reinstall it. Then, if the display changes to
have successfully cleared the jam.

Check and Clear the Paper Exits

1. Carefully remove any visible paper from the paper
exit of the output tray (A).
2. If the optional offset tray is installed, check for and
remove any visible paper from the paper exit of the
offset tray.
3. Open the rear cover of the offset tray.
4. Holding the rear cover with one hand, remove any
jammed paper. Then close the rear cover of the
offset tray (B).
