Redistributing the Toner

The toner in a disposable toner cartridge lasts for
approximately 10,000 pages.
LOW ON TONER
on the operator panel display when the cartridge needs
to be replaced or the toner needs to be redistributed.
Then, perform the following steps to redistribute the
toner.
1. Remove the toner cartridge from the printer, as
described on page 7-3.
2. Gently rock the cartridge back and forth a few times
to redistribute the toner (A).
3. Reinsert the toner cartridge into the printer (B).
4. Close the front cover (C).
5. Plug in the printer and turn it on.
If no longer appears on the operator
LOW ON TONER
panel, continue to use the cartridge for the time being. If
the message continues to appear on the operator panel,
it is time to replace the cartridge.
