Abnormal Functions

Description
The printer/copier has
been instructed to print,
but the busy LED is nei-
ther on nor blinking.
Possible Cause
The media is not loaded cor-
rectly.
Print media is outside of the rec-
ommended specifications.
Print media is moist.
Paper is jammed.
Possible Cause
The interface cable has come
unplugged.
The network is unavailable for
use.
The environment set on the
computer instructing printing is
incompatible.
3.1 Troubleshooting
Action
Set the media correctly in the paper
tray.

Replace the print media with a recom-
mended type.

Replace the print media.
"2.2 About the Paper"
Clear the paper jam.
It might be caused by tape or adhe-
sive stuck to the rollers. Examine the
inside of the printer/copier carefully,
and remove any foreign objects.
"4 Paper Jams"
Action
Turn the power switch to OFF, and
check the connection of the interface
cable.
Check the status of the network on the
control panel of the printer/copier.
