Cleaning the Scanner

To enable you to obtain good quality copies, be sure to clean the scanner
regularly, approximately once a month.
Before cleaning the scanner, be sure to turn off its power switch and discon-
nect its power cord from the AC outlet. Cleaning the scanner with its power
switch still turned on will result in electric shock.

Cleaning the document cover

If the document cover becomes dirty, the scanning quality will deteriorate
and the document size may not be detected correctly. Therefore, clean the
document glass regularly, using a soft cloth slightly moistened with water,
followed by drying with a soft dry cloth.
