Verifying the Phone Startup Process
Configuring Startup Network Settings

After the Cisco Unified IP Video Phone has power connected to it, the phone
begins its startup process by cycling through the following steps.
The notification lamp lights up when the phone is powered. The lamp goes

off when the registration process is finished.
The screen displays the Cisco Systems, Inc., logo screen.

If you are not using DHCP in your network, you must configure these network
settings on the Cisco Unified IP Phone after installing the phone on the network:
IP address

IP subnet mask
•
Default gateway IP address
•
Domain name
•
DNS server IP address
•
TFTP server IP address
