Place your original document face-up on the Edit
Pad underneath the Clear Plastic Overlay.

Select an Edit Number. The Edit Feature
indicators of the selected number flashes.

Select Erase Outside. The available Area
Shapes flash.
To change a feature, select another feature. The
selected feature lights.

Select an Area Shape. The Select Area indicator
flashes.
NOTE: Point Outside Area is not available with
the Erase Outside feature.
NOTE: To select a different Area Shape, select
the desired Area Shape. The selected Area
Shape lights.
7 Use the Edit Pen to define the area(s) on the
original document the original document to be
deleted from the copy. At this time you can select
another area.
•
If multiple areas are entered and the areas
overlap, the area inside the perimeter of the
overlapped areas is deleted. Refer to Chapter
5, "Selecting an Area Shape," for more
information.
NOTE: You can define a maximum of 200 areas
for each original document.
NOTE: The defined area of the copy may reflect a
0.5 mm misregistration.
