Some fridges/freezers come with a door restrictor pin. If your appliance includes one, please
follow the steps below.
The door restrictor pin is essential to prevent the fridge/freezer door from opening too wide,
which can cause damage to surrounding cabinets, walls, or the fridge itself. It also helps
maintain the alignment and longevity of the door hinges.
Installing the door restrictor pin
(If required)
Step 1 - Use the appliance
installation
manual to locate the designated hole or
slot on the fridge/freezer where the door
restrictor pin is to be inserted, typically it will
be near the hinge mechanism.
Step 2 - Insert the restrictor pin securely into
the hole or slot.
Step 3 - Test the door to confirm that the pin
limits the door's opening angle.
