Save the screw for installing the expansion board. Be sure to save the slot cover
for future use.
If the slot cover does fall into the unit, remove it before replacing the cover.
Hold the board by its edges and insert it into the expansion slot.

Press the board firmly into the expansion slot connector. Gently rock the board
from side-to-side to seat it into the connector.

Insert the screw removed earlier to secure the expansion board to the support
bracket.
Attach any cables required by the expansion board.

Replace the access cover.

Remove the system access cover.

Label and remove any cables connected to the board.
Remove the screw that secures the board to the support bracket.

Pull the board out of the connector. Gently rock the board from side-to-side to

Replace the access cover.

DIMM UPGRADE

Depending on the model, your system comes factory-installed with 32 MB to 192 MB of
main system memory, as three 168-pin sockets on the system board for Dual In-line
Memory Modules (DIMMs).
You may install memory in one, two, or three sockets and the size and speed may vary
between sockets. Single-and double-sided DIMMs are supported.
Depending on product upgrade availability, your system memory can be upgraded to a total
of 384 MB. When upgrading your system memory, note the following conditions:

Be sure to use 168-pin 3.3V DIMMs with gold-plated contacts.

Bus speed of 66 MHz only is supported.
CAUTION: A slot cover can damage the system
board or any option board if it falls into the
system. Take care to keep the slot cover from
falling when removing the screw.
