3. Remove the plug assembly out of the body if these is
not done.
4. Remove the bonnet gasket (1.2).
5. Remove the screwed seat (2.1) by using the Seat Tool
and remove the seat gasket (2.5).
6. Remove the bonnet gasket (1.2).
7. Turn the body over as described on page 22.
8. Turn the Cover Nuts (1.4) counter clockwise to loosen.
9. Remove the cover (4.1) and cover gasket (1.2).
10. Depending on the attached bonnet, see instructions for
disassembly the bonnet on page 30.
11. Check stressed surface areas for damage such as
scoring and deformities.
12. Use a standard brass scraper or other suitable tool to
clean bolting. Check for corrosion or any other damage.

13. Lubricate all bolt and screw threads and bearing sur-
faces (stem, underside of the nuts) with a suitable, ap-
proved lubricant (See Section 15: Lubricants).
Never allow lubricants to come in contact
NOTICE
with the bonnet or sealing surfaces.
14. Install the new cover gasket (1.2).
15. Carefully lower the cover (4.1) onto the studs in the
valve body.
16. Install and tighten the cover nuts (1.4) in four steps
- 30%, 60%, 100%, and all around 100% - using a
crosswise pattern (See Section 14: Torque Require-
ments).
17. Turn the body over as described on page 22.
18. Install a new seat gasket (2.5) and screwed seat (2.1)
if previously reassembled.
19. Lower the plug assembly (2.2) into the body with the
plug touching the seat ring surface.
