Automatic Purge / Drying Cycle
MTI Designer and Boutique airbaths are equipped with an automatic drying cycle designed to purge residual water from air jets
installed on the floor of the bath. Drying cycle is programmed to come on 7 minutes after the airbath is turned off and any time water is
introduced, then drained from the tub. Water sensors on either side of the tub drain prevent activation of the drying cycle, until water is
drained from bath. The sensors will activate the purge/drying cycle upon showering, bathing or cleaning the bathtub.
• The purge cycle starts approximately 7 minutes after the bath is drained and runs for 1 minute.
• To delay the automatic purge for another 7 minutes, once it begins, press
MTI does not recommend canceling the purge regularly, as the drying cycle is designed to help maintain optimal performance of the
airbath.
Alternate 24-hour purge cycle programming overrides default settings, allowing the purge cycle to run once every 24 hours at the time
the cycle is first programmed.
To program 24-hour purge cycle:
• Hold
on the keypad for 5 seconds. The indicator light next to the airbath button
• Press and hold
again for 5 seconds to restore the default setting. The indicator light flashes twice when default setting is restored.
Water sensors will delay daily purge, if there is water in the tub at the time purge cycle is programmed to start. 7 minutes after water has
drained, the drying cycle starts.
Manual Stop
Press airbath button during the 1-minute drying cycle, to stop the cycle. Purge/Drying cycle will restart 24 hours later at the
programmed time.
In the event of a power disruption or brown out, the purge/drying cycle will return to default setting. Manually reprogram as needed.
Aromatherapy System Operating Instructions
MTI's Aromatherapy system fuses personally selected essential oils with heated airbath bubbles. DO NOT apply essential oil directly
to the bath water, as this may cause permanent damage to tub shell and system components. DO NOT apply more than 2–3 drops to
applicator pad per use to avoid permanently damaging system components. With essential oils, a little goes a long way. Supplies may be
purchased at retailers that carry essential oils.
DANGER! Turn off air system before removing Aromatherapy cap. Never remove cap while tub is on!
• With the air system turned off, unscrew Aromatherapy cap.
• Add 2–3 drops of essential oils to a small felt pad (not included) and enclose pad in aroma well. Replace pad with each new scent or
as needed. NOTE: Make-up removal pads cut into 1" squares work well. DO NOT use cotton balls or other materials that may shred
under force of air within the aroma well.
• Secure Aromatherapy cap on aroma well.
• Turn on air system. Heat activates fragrance as it fuses with air bubbles.
Tsubo Lock-Out Timer Ultra Therapy
The Tsubo Lock-Out is designed to avoid tripping the thermal protector in the motor. Tsubo mode is operational for a total of 30 minutes
in two 15-minute intervals before lock-out occurs.
• After two 15-minute intervals, Tsubo mode locks down for two hours to cool down. For every four minutes of cooldown time, one
minute of Tsubo functionality is restored.
• To confirm lock-out status, push the Tsubo Massage button on the keypad. If the system is in lock-out mode, indicator light will blink
fast.
• While in lock-out condition, the micro jets are operational at high speed, however the lock-out timer is suspended while the micro jets
are running. To resume countdown, turn off the Tsubo pump for micro jets at the keypad.
Cluster control diverter must be in the "OFF" position before turning on whirlpool, otherwise water from these high-powered jets is
likely to splash outside the bath.⁴
