Stacking projectors
When two or more projectors are stacked (projecting on the same surface), due to the overlap of
the images, a system hazard distance may need to be applied instead of a single projector hazard
distance. When projectors are being stacked in two-dimension (for example 2x2), only projectors
stacked along one axis (horizontal or vertical) should be considered, taking the stacking direction with
the shortest lens distance (center-to-center distance) to reduce to separate two systems.
The following information is required is:
HD Hazard distance of a single projector with the given lens (center-to-center distance)
h Distance between two adjacent projector lenses in the stack
1. Determine the hazard distance (HD) of a single projector with a given lens and the distance (h)
between the adjacent lenses.
