TROUBLESHOOTING

Most problems are easy to fix. See the troubleshooting table below for common problems and their
solutions. If the problems cannot be solved, please contact your supplier.
WARNING - Before performing any maintenance or service, stop the engine and wait 5
minutes for all parts to cool down. Disconnect the spark plug cable and keep it away from the spark
plug.
Symptom
The machine is not working
properly
The drum does not pull the
wood in
The processed material does
not have the same thickness
Engine won't start or stops on
its own
The machine gets stuck when
in operation
Engine won't start because the
drum is stuck
If the machine does not start, check the compression in the engine and the spark from the spark
plug:

Problem
Blades are blunt
Tree diameter is too large
The distance between the
blades is not correct
Electrical problem with engine
No petrol
No or too little engine oil
Diameter of branches is too
large
Drum or blades have wood
debris or pieces of wood stuck
to them

Correction
Sharpen or replace blades
Remove branches with a larger
diameter than allowed
Adjust the distance to 1 mm.
Make sure the engine switch is
ON.
Add fuel.
Add oil.
Switch off the engine and
remove the spark plug.
Remove the cover on the
blade shaft. Turn the shaft a
few degrees with a wrench.
Block the shaft with the
wrench.
Remove the material from the
inlet pipe using a stick or tool
and restart the machine. If
necessary, change the blades.
