V-BELT ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT

V-BELT ADJUSTMENT
The belts should deflect 9-10 mm at a light pressure as shown below. If this is not the case, adjust
the belts according to the following instructions.
1. Remove the belt guard.
2. Loosen the 4 engine plate bolts.
1. Move the engine with the horizontal adjustment bolts until the correct tension as shown below is
achieved.
2. Retighten the engine bolts.
3. Replace the belt guard.
V-BELT REPLACEMENT
1. To replace the belt, follow the above belt adjustment directions.
2. After loosening the engine bolts, remove the old belts and replace them with new ones. Always
replace both belts as they come in a matching set. This is required for proper operation.
3. Set the belt tension and adjustment according to the instructions above.
NOTE: Check and tighten the belts after the initial break-in period, one hour of use.
