FUEL AND OIL

CHECKING AND TOPPING UP OIL

• Check the oil level before starting the engine.
• Check the oil level daily or after every 8 hours.
• Keep the oil level at FULL.
• Do not overfill.

PROCEDURE FOR CHECKING OIL

1. Check the oil level before starting the engine.
2. Place the engine in a level position. Clean around the oil filler and dipstick.
3. Push the dipstick back in and remove it to check the oil level.
4. Remove the oil filler cap. Slowly pour in oil.
5. Fill up to the FULL mark on the dipstick - check again.
6. Reinsert the dipstick firmly.

FUEL

Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded petrol according to the engine manual.

ADDING FUEL

Fill the tank outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat
and other sources of ignition.
If fuel is spilled, wait for it to evaporate before starting the engine.
Switch off the engine and allow it to cool down for at least 2 minutes before removing the petrol
cap.
Remove the cap. Fill the tank to approximately 38 mm below the top of the neck to allow the fuel to
expand. Be careful not to overfill. Replace cap cover before starting.
