REMOVAL, SHARPENING AND REINSTALLATION OF BLADES

HOW TO REMOVE THE BLADE
ATTENTION! Always wear safety gloves when working with knives. This machine is equipped with
with two reversible blades. When they lose their edge, the blades can be reversed to use the
second edge. Once the second edge is used, they should be replaced. If you notice increased
vibrations, this can be due to the cutting edges being worn and the processed material being in long
strips when the blades are blunt or worn.
REPLACING THE COUNTER BLADE
The counter blade is reversible. When the edge becomes worn, it can be rotated - when both sides
are worn, it must be replaced. The distance between the blade and counter blade should always be
1 mm.
SHARPENING THE BLADE
Never attempt to sharpen the chipper blade yourself.
It is extremely important that the 45-degree angle is maintained consistently for proper
performance.
The chipper blade should be taken to a machine shop for proper sharpening.
Excessive heat generated during the sharpening process will damage the blades and weaken the
metal.
