STARTING AND STOPPING

STARTING AND OPERATION TIPS
Store and refuel the equipment in a flat position.
Use fresh fuel.
Use the correct oil type according to the specifications.
Check that the infeed chute is empty.
Regularly remove accumulated debris from the machine.
Once the engine has started, it should warm up for several seconds to several minutes, depending
on the outside temperature.
For maximum performance and longevity, run the engine with the choke in RUN and the throttle in
FAST.
START THE ENGINE
Check the oil level.
Open petrol valve.
Move the choke to the CHOKE position.
Move the throttle to the slow position (turtle). Run the engine with the throttle in fast (rabbit).
Let the engine warm up. Slowly adjust the choke control towards the RUN position. Wait until the
engine runs smoothly before each choke adjustment.
STOP THE ENGINE
Move the throttle to the slow (turtle) position.
Move the throttle all the way to the left.
CAUTION
Do not stop the engine by moving the choke control to CHOKE. This may cause backfiring,
fire, or engine damage.
